The story is of a beautiful and tender girl in the clutches of a shrewd gambler and boss of the underworld where the creed is "to make a woman love you, knock her down." Sam Langford, the boxer, battles against lynching in the south in this Micheaux melodrama. Evelyn Preer is the beautiful girl who falls into the clutches of the underworld brute.
