General Films
A general film is a feature-length motion picture that is produced for initial showing in movie theaters, in constrast to a made for tv movie (or special) that is  produced and originally distributed by or to a television network.
 
Streaming services complicate this issue so most times I go by the MPAA or Certificate ratings for a film. Example: If a film is rated R, I list it as a general film. If the rating or certificate is TV-MA, then I list it under television. When there is no rating, I use my best judgement.
